The role of the SharePoint Application and System Administrator will be to maintain the SharePoint server farm with respect to performance and security, support the identification, capture, organize, and upload pertinent knowledge and facilitate the best use of this knowledge by establishing new knowledge flow patterns, and disseminating the information through the use of Microsoft's SharePoint Server 2007.

Polestar is seeking a System Engineer to assume the lead role in taking an existing laboratory bread board optical instrument to a brass board prototype and finally to a field-usable prototype that can be a product.
The applicant should have a proven record of accomplishment in designing instrumentation, assembly and testing of prototypes, and making the transition of field-tested prototypes into a commercial product. The candidate should be able to identify one or more existing products that were developed directly under their leadership. A working knowledge of C/C++ and assembler programming, extensive experience with the design and development of electronics, firmware, and hardware packaging are essential. Hands on experience with shortwave infrared lasers and imaging hardware would also be preferred. Must be US citizen.

Polestar Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a direct experience in the design and development of electronics for ruggedized optical instrumentation. Solid experience with component selection, embedded microprocessors, embedded single board computers, real-time systems, high speed data transfer, motor control, and analog and digital signal processing is required. A minimum of five (5) years industrial experience in C/C++ and assembler programming is also required. Candidates should have extensive experience in the design, fabrication and debugging of circuitry for both line- and battery-power systems. Candidates must have worked directly on the development and implementation of control strategies, including both hardware and firmware, for high speed event triggering and data transfer. Previous experience with shortwave infrared lasers and imaging hardware would also be advantageous to the applicant.. Must be US citizen.

Polestar Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a direct experience in the design and development of electronics for ruggedized optical instrumentation. Responsibilities will include materials procurement, feasibility hardware fabrication, and development and execution of characterization testing. Product validation activities will include test protocol development, participation in product testing, and test report preparation. Candidates for this position must extensive experience in the use of EDA tools, circuit design, fabrication and debugging for both line- and battery-power systems. Ideal candidates will have worked closely with digital designers and software engineers on the development and implementation of control strategies and hardware for high speed event triggering and data transfer. A working understanding of UL or IEC 60601 electrical safety and EMC standards and principles would be a plus as would familiarity with C/C++ and assembler programming, shortwave infrared lasers and imaging hardware. A minimum of five (5) years industrial experience in board design including layout is required. Applicants must be well organized, have excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary project team. Must be US citizen.
