Armand A. Balasco, Vice President of Technology Consulting
Mr. Balasco is responsible for the strategic planning, business development, and management of the Technology Consulting Division of Polestar. He leads a multi-disciplinary team of senior engineers and scientists in providing technology-based solutions in the areas of technology research and development, technology commercialization, project planning and implementation, and operations improvement.
Mr. Balasco has more than 34 years of progressively increasing responsibility managing both commercial and government projects involving the research, development, testing and evaluation (RDT&E), engineering design, startup, and troubleshooting of innovative processes for the prevention, treatment and/or elimination of military, industrial, and utility hazardous waste.
Prior to Polestar, he was the President of FOCIS Associates, which was acquired by Polestar, Vice President of Science Applications International Corporation, and held management roles at Arthur D. Little. Mr. Balasco holds a Bachelor of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Masters of Science from Tufts University. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, National Defense Preparedness Association, National Defense Industrial Association, and Sigma Xi. He also holds "secret" security clearance.
