Standard Probes

Polestar’s standard 12mm stainless steel probes are specifically designed for in-line use in traditional stirred tank bioreactors. These probes can be used to deploy any of Polestar’s replaceable screw-on sensing elements, enabling interchangeable use of the probe for measurements of O2, pH, or CO2. Probes having 120mm, 220mm, 320mm, and 420mm submersion depths are available with either PG 13.5 or tri-clamp sanitary fittings for securing the probe to reactor port hardware and adapters. Polestar’s 12mm probes are made of 316L stainless steel to withstand the rigorous processing conditions typically encountered in fermentation and cell culture operations. All fluid contacting surfaces are electro polished (8 RMS) and passivated, making them compatible with standard CIP and SIP procedures and conditions.
